Refund Policy

Effective Date: March 29, 2026

At Chain of Strength Organisation (Reg No: GA 00304593), we deeply value every contribution made toward our mission of nation-building. Because donations are immediately allocated to our island-wide social service projects across all 25 districts, we have established the following policy regarding refunds and cancellations.

General Policy

As a registered non-profit organization in Sri Lanka, all donations made to the Chain of Strength Organisation are considered final and non-refundable. Once a transaction is successful, the funds are legally committed to our ongoing programs (Housing, Health, Education, Environment, and Economy).

Exceptions (Refund Eligibility)

We will only consider a refund request under the following strictly defined circumstances:

  • Duplicate Transactions: If a technical error resulted in the same donation being charged more than once.
  • Unauthorized Use: If your payment method was used fraudulently (Subject to verification by your bank and our payment gateway, PayHere).
  • Technical Discrepancy: If a glitch on our website resulted in an incorrect amount being processed.

Refund Request Process

If you believe you are eligible for a refund, you must contact our finance department within 7 days of the transaction date.

  • Email: info@chainofstrength.org
  • Subject: Refund Request – [Your Full Name]
  • Required Info: Transaction date, exact amount, and the PayHere Transaction ID found in your email receipt.

Processing of Approved Refunds

  • Instant Refunds (Same Day): If an error is reported on the same day, we may be able to “Void” the transaction immediately via PayHere.
  • Settled Refunds: If approved after the funds have settled (usually after 48 hours), the refund will be credited back to your original payment method.
  • Timeline: It typically takes 5 to 10 business days for the refund to appear on your bank statement, depending on your bank’s internal policies.
  • Fees: Please note that bank or payment gateway processing fees may be deducted from the refund amount where applicable.

Cancellation of Recurring Donations

If you have opted for a recurring (monthly/yearly) support plan:

  • You may cancel your future commitments at any time by emailing us.
  • Cancellations will stop all future scheduled payments. Any payments already processed before the request remain non-refundable.
